The International Society of Biourbanism, in cooperation with “Progetto Artena” and “Immaginari Urbani”, promotes the international photo contest “Sguardi su Artena” (“Glimpses of Artena”).
The photo contest aims to promote Artena, by using pictures to tell its extraordinary historical centre, the landscapes, the “contrade”, the characters and the people, the festivals and the events which make the whole city come alive throughout the year.
Participation is free, and everybody is welcome, regardless of age (parents’ permission and a guardian are required, in case there are participants younger than 18).
PUBLICATION, EXHIBITION, AND AWARDS
Two winners envisaged – one proclaimed by the jury of experts, one by online voting on the Facebook page www.facebook.com/sguardisuArtena. Some photos may be selected for a public exhibition and a publication. Indeed, by joining, authors authorise the organisers to use and publish their pictures, whilst keeping the copyright on them.
The winner selected by the jury of experts will be awarded a 16 megapixel digital compact camera.
Second and third places will be awarded a basket of typical Artenese local products.
The first place, which came from the greatest number of “likes” obtained online by 12:00 p.m. on August 24, 2013 will be awarded a mule-trekking excursion in Artena for two people.
