BIOURBANISM AND REVITALIZATION OF SPACES

Biourbanism connects natural sciences, humanity, and architecture in order to study the form of the space in which we live, and how spatial organization affects neurophysiology, cognition, and society. It harmonizes design and services, toward a human-centered development. Its methodology is inspired by the principles of service design, biophilia, neuroergonomics, structural sustainability, smart networking, laws of forms and scales.

PROGETTO ARTENA

Progetto Artena is a service of analysis, strategy and action for the revival of the village of Artena (Rome). It works on both structural and infrastructural level, by caring of several aspects, from social innovation, to architectural regeneration. Progetto Artena is the first application of the principles of Biourbanism (p2p urbanism, neuroergonomics, biophilia, structural sustainability, laws of form, scales coherence, constructal law) in order to design for social change. At the same time, it’s an experimental research, aimed at prototyping a new model of development process for Italy.

SEGNI SEED

Segni Seed is the application of service design techniques to identify some inner drives of the city of Segni, and how they can be connected to work together. The goal is about finding possible change actions, able to pay back a most common advantage to all the stakeholders, and experimenting a prototype of strategic guidance for small towns. The project is carried out by a team of international and Italian experts.

PROGETTO LEPUS

Progetto Lepus aims to a level shift, from the urban to the district one, of strategic design revitalization processes. It will search for connecting formal and informal networks actually operating in the area, and it will put them at work together in a systemic way. Progetto Lepus is a case study managed in collaboration with the Comunità Montana dei Monti Lepini. The project goal is to explore a best practice to be applied to the whole Italian province.
